Trips
At the Link Year we believe that students do some of their best learning outside of the classroom where they can exeperience different customs, cultures, and places for themselves. To facilitate this learning, we offer multiple trips throughout our program. Through these travels we have seen students bond and build friendships that will last a lifetime, we've seen students grow tremendously as a result of being outside their comfort zone, and we've seen them learn in a context unlike any they've experienced. Below is a description of the travel that takes place at the Link Year:
Kansas City
One week during the fall we take a short term ministry trip where we partner with the Hope Center in Kansas City, MO. Our vision for this trip is to teach students they can be missional in their own backyard, and that it doesn't require getting on a plane to serve and do ministry for others. The cost of this trip is covered in the tuition.
Ireland
During the entire month of February students will have the option of studying abroad in either Ireland or Fiji. The Ireland trip is solely experiential and educational, not missional. Through our partnership with JBU Ireland we are able to create an experience for our students they will never forget. The cost of this trip is approximately 3,700.00 and is not included as a part of the tuition. The cost may fluctuate with air fares. Please feel free to see our pictures from past Ireland trips HERE.
Fiji
During the entire month of February students will have the option of studying abroad in either Ireland or Fiji. The Fiji trip is experiential, educational, and missional. Through our partnership with JBU we are able to create an experience for our students they will never forget. The cost of this trip is approximately 4,500.00 and is not included as a part of the tuition. The cost may fluctuate with air fares.
Internships
Should any of our students forego the opportunity to participate in our international travel we will partner them with a K-life internship for the month of February. They will be placed where their strengths are best suited, which could be anywhere a K-Life chapter is located. The cost of these internships include personal groceries and any fuel they use for the month of February. Housing will be covered.
